Merrill Heslop, LCSW — San Tan Counseling Clinical Director
Merrill Heslop has worked full time in the mental health field since 1991, with teenage, young adults and adults.
He specializes in individual and family relationship counseling, marriage, divorce, depression, addiction,
sexual issues, and grief counseling.
Charlie Mitchell, PhD
Dr. Mitchell started private practice in the early 1980s and before that taught psychology at Mesa
Community College. Dr. Mitchell specializes in geriatric clients, anxieties, depression, fears and
phobias, and complicated mental health issues. He does not work with children.
Chris Berry, PhD
Dr. Berry has been in the mental health field since the 1982. He has enjoyed his work as a psychologist
for the last 25 years. He specializes in adolescents beginning at 14 years of age with issues of ADHD,
self,-mutilation issues, depression, anxiety, abuse, substance abuse, eating disorder and anger issues.
For adults, Dr. Berry specializes in pain management, depression, anxiety/panic disorders, physical/emotional/verbal
abuse, eating disorders, sexual disorders, anger management, grief and loss, relationship therapy, physical
disabilities, head injury and medial illness.
Aimee Thorpe-Rangel, LCSW
Aimee earned her master's degree in social work from Arizona State University and a bachelor's in family
studies from the University of Arizona. As a licensed clinical social worker Aimee has been aan adolescent
and family therapist since 1992, Aimee has worked in schools, as a private-practice clinician, and as a
counselor with the Child Crisis Center. She has provided individual and group counseling; written IEPs
for students enrolled in special education programs, and has served as an advocate for children involved
with Child Protective Services. In addition to her work with ANASAZI, Aimee maintains an outpatient
practice that helps adults and adolescents struggling with divorce, anxiety, depression, and family issues.
Jaclyn Kearney, LCSW
Jackie has her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. She also travels to help counsel Military
personnel when they return from combat. She does her best work with substance abuse and trauma,
blended family issues, mood counseling, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and physical disabilities.

Marc E. Bagnasco, LPC, NCC
Marc is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing in Arizona for the past
seven years. He works with individual adults, couples and families to improve their quality
of life by strengthening problem solving skills, improving interpersonal relationships,
managing emotions, increasing motivation for change, and overcoming past traumatic experiences
so as to live more freely in the here and now. Trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy by
The University of Chicago Hospitals as well as Marsha Linehan's Behavioral Technology Group, LLC.,
Marc specializes in the treatment of clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder,
eating disorders, severe anxiety disorders and traumatic abuse.
Rosemary Case, LCSW
Rosemary is a licensed clinical social worker who has practiced in Arizona since 1997.
She is an honors graduate of San Francisco State University and Arizona State University.
Rosemary has worked in general mental health with a broad range of clients, including seriously
mentally ill. She is experienced in working with depression and other mood disorders, anxiety,
anger, couples issues, geriatric issues and bereavement. Rosemary offers a client-centered,
strengths-based approach that focuses on problem-solving, and frequently partners with individuals
to develop step plans to overcome barriers to improvement and growth.

Nicole LoRe, LCSW
Since 1998 Nicole has experience working with children and teens with a
history of abuse and disruptive behavior. She holds a certificate of completion in Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) a specialized treatment for those suffering from
symptoms due to past abuse and significant trauma. She has also had extensive training and
experience working with teens and adults with personality and mood disorders using Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy. Nicole works with children, teens and their families beginning at age
3, specializing in adjustment problems, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, out of control
behavior, juvenile delinquency, substance use, divorce, school and peer problems and other
family issues. She also works with adults, especially those who are seeking to heal past trauma
and those suffering from depression, anxiety and personality disorders.
Jaimee Huseman LCSW, CADAC, ACHT
Jaimee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Counselor,
and Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist. She specializes in working with trauma, chemical
dependency and other addictive behaviors, self-injurious behaviors, relationship issues,
codependency and family of origin issues. Other areas of expertise include working with
teenagers who have behavioral and/or emotional difficulties, women's issues, depression and
Adult Children of Alcoholics. She also serves as a Clinical Consultant to an addictions treatment
program in Illinois, a PTI Teacher for the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, Washington and
facilitates several transformative therapy groups and workshops focusing on relationships and
addictions. Jaimee takes a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on the mind, body and spirit
as integral parts of the healing process. She has a relaxed and comfortable personality and with
her you can expect professional, considerate care that will bring hope to life challenges you may
be facing.

Julie Jones, Office Manager
Julie works hard to keep everything in line and on track! She specializes in federal compliance
issues, billing, collections, accounting, insurance, and scheduling.
Gaylene Littleton, Insurance Specialist
Gaylene is the back bone of our support staff. She specializes in insurance benefits and spends
every day on the phone with insurance companies verifying benefits for the patients that are served
at San Tan Counseling. In addition she is able to assist patients with scheduling appointments.
