individual counseling
Sometimes being able to systematically and psychologically understand why we do what we do is so
helpful! Individual counseling may include a variety of issues. Some might be depression, anxiety,
work or family relationships, life development transitions, addictions, and chemical or alcohol
addictions. Whatever is creating stress or disturbance in your life — San Tan Counseling creates a
space of hope!
marriage and family
Some of our greatest challenges seem to happen in what should be the closest relationships we have.
Many people think of counseling as a last resort. Typically, individuals, couples, and families seek
help when they feel they can no longer deal with troubling issues. Whether it is core marriage issues,
or larger family relationship issues, at San Tan counseling we have classes, groups, or individual
counseling services to meet your needs. There is hope!
evaluation and testing
Good counseling creates a clear path of hope, discovery and recovery. Psychological evaluations
are a helpful tool to begin to create that pathway. Whether it is a general psychological evaluation,
education intelligence testing, fit for duty test or gastric bypass evaluation, we have the
professional staff here at San Tan Counseling who can help you.
clinical hypnotherapy
At San Tan Counseling we offer the exciting option of clinical hypnotherapy. Hypnosis
involves creating a safe, confidential, drug free, environment where you can achieve
relaxed peaceful mental state - contrary to popular belief - those hypnotized are not
put to sleep. Clients are merely fully relaxed and are always aware of what is going
on around them - always in total control. You will always be able to hear and respond
to everything during the therapeutic process and are an active participant in your therapy.
A few of the many areas in which hypnotherapy offers benefits are: weight management, stop smoking, stress management, coping with fears and phobias, compulsive behavior, insomnia, loss, grief, pre/post surgery anxiety, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, ADD/ADHD, and drug/alcohol. groups
The advantages of marriage counseling and couples counseling in a group or class are surprisingly
many. In a larger group setting, when both partners are present, you have an opportunity for
greater individual and social understanding, the benefit of several perspectives, increased
learning possibilities, while appreciating the differences in real time.
